Regional Scale Flood Hazard Modelling and Mapping for the Isthmus of Chignecto

Natural Resources Canada contracted Ebbwater Consulting as prime consultant with PSG Ocean and Concordia University as subconsultants to support its leadership role in developing a regional-scale, nationally consistent framework for flood hazard mapping. As coastal specialist on the project team, PSG Ocean is involved in the review of relevant Canadian and international methodologies, guidelines, and tools related to flood hazard modelling and mapping, and is tasked to provide coastal modelling inputs for the development of regional-scale inundation maps. As part of this initiative, PSG Ocean is responsible for modelling high-water events impacting the Isthmus of Chignecto, at the head of the Bay of Fundy, for coupling with fluvial hydraulic modelling by the project team.
