Flood Assessment for Subdivision Application

PSG Ocean was retained by a private owner to deliver a flood hazard assessment supporting regulatory approvals for the subdivision of their oceanfront property in the Juan de Fuca Strait within the Capital Regional District.

PSG Ocean was contracted by a private owner to undertake a flood assessment to support the subdivision of their oceanfront property in the community of Otter Point within the Capital Regional District, which is exposed to high tsunami hazard. The assignment included the assessment of coastal flood hazards and specifying flood protection levels and floodplain setbacks as mitigation measures. The assessment report was accepted by the Ministry of Transport and Transit, approving authority for the subdivision application. PSG Ocean sub-contracted Kerr Wood Leidal as external reviewer for the assessment.
